Regular issue 6(3) of the journal «Nature Conservation Research» has been released
This issue of the journal “Nature Conservation Research" contains articles devoted to various taxonomic groups of animals, landscapes, and methods of palaeobotanical research in Europe and Asia. It includes research articles, and a research note devoted to studies of landscapes, invertebrates, mammals, birds, and a novelty in the sample preparation for pollen analysis. A Research Note suggests the use of propionic anhydride by replacing the acetic anhydride considered as a precursor which turnover is limited in many countries. One article is devoted to the spatio-temporal dynamics of burnt areas in Protected Areas in the south-east of European Russia. Age determination and growth parameters of Triturus anatolicus (Caudata: Salamandridae) have been investigated in Torkul Lake in the Province of Düzce, Turkey. One article presents data about the helminth fauna of reptiles in the National Park «Smolny», Russia. The ant fauna (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) has been studied in the Mordovia State Nature Reserve, Russia. One more article presents data on the long-term dynamics of morphogenetic indicators of Cepaea vindobonensis (Gastropoda, Pulmonata, Helicidae) in a Protected Area of European Russia. Eudontomyzon sp. (Petromyzontidae) larvae with a characterisation of their habitats have been investigated in lakes in the Smolenskoye Poozerye National Park, Russia. One article answers how people perceive resilience of Himalayan pheasants (Phasianidae) in relation to climate warming in Eastern Himalaya as a case study in the Khangchendzonga Biosphere Reserve, India. Finally, one article presents data about locations of dens with respect to space use, pre- and post-denning movements of brown bears in the Russian Far East.
