Special issue 11(2) of the journal «Nature Conservation Research» has been released

Special issue 11(2) of the journal «Nature Conservation Research» (ncr-journal.bear-land.org/) has been released, being devoted to the Anniversary of the Mordovia State Nature Reserve (European Russia). This issue of the journal «Nature Conservation Research» contains articles devoted to various taxonomic groups of organisms and the history of ecosystem formation in the Mordovia State Nature Reserve. This issue includes 7 articles. Using the Mordovia State Nature Reserve as an example, the review paper presents an overview of insect biodiversity inventory issues in Russian Protected Areas, and it summarises the results of insect studies in the Mordovia State Nature Reserve. Diversity of helminths in bats (Chiroptera) in the Mordovia State Nature Reserve was studied. Ant diversity (Hymenoptera: Formicidae) was assessed in the National Park «Smolny» and the Mordovia State Nature Reserve. One more paper presents data on carbon and nitrogen accumulation in peatlands of the Mordovia State Nature Reserve during the Holocene. Late-Holocene mire hydrology reconstruction was conducted using the Mordovia State Nature Reserve as an example. The caddisfly fauna (Insecta: Trichoptera) in the Republic of Mordovia was studied. A mini-review of Lonchaeidae (Diptera) species described as new to science from the Mordovia State Nature Reserve was provided.
